Blogging Without Internets

Ok... So... Wow. Getting back into this thing has been harder than I realized. I'm all moved into my new place. I totally don't have internet though, so I'm writing this at my local starbucks. Hence the name of this post. Yep. I'm one of THOSE people. It's strange being alone. Like, really strange. But things are slowly falling into place. I love it, and it's all mine, and that's all that matters.

I still have so much to say. So much to explain. But I kind of feel like since it's been SO long since I've been around here, I'm just going to fill you in with a currently.

Currently With the Llama...

|| Listening to: Say it Ain't So, Weezer. I'm listening to pandora while at starbucks because the music over the loud speakers is kind of annoying. Thanks to my Twenty One Pilots radio, I have enjoyable music. This particular song makes me smile a lot. Pandora is random but every now and then they really do a stellar job in throwing out songs that put me in a good mood.

|| Eating: not much lately. I know... I'm horrible. I have food for the kids at the apartment, but my diet has really gone down hill. I need to figure out a better routine for me.

|| Drinking: Venti Java Chip Frap. because, star bucks. If I'm not getting a white chocolate peppermint mocha, this is what I'm getting. It's nice out here today, so this is perfect.

|| Feeling: alll the feels. In one way I'm excited. I went public on social media about a relationship I'm in. It's someone I've known for ten years, and it's absolutely one of those things that "just sort of happened". Neither of us planned it, but both of us are glad things happened the way they did.

|| Needing: More sleep. Y'all. I kid you not, if you saw my Jawbone sleep patterns, you would want to shake me. I have been going to bed after midnight and waking up after 6. Some nights I only get 4 hours of sleep. It's bad. Part of it is trying to get used to sleeping alone in a new place.

|| Thinking: about Friday morning. This week I'm going to the social security administration to get my name changed back to Hardin. If you follow me on snapchat, you probably saw the #HelloHardin. I'm not gonna lie, this has been one thing I'm super excited about that has come from this divorce. I feel like it's a way for me to really get closure that this divorce is really real. Now if someone could just tell my ex that he doesn't need to try and call and text ALL the time anymore. Help.

|| Enjoying: My new design. Seriously, y'all Amanda is just the BEST. We talked about upgrading the look of my blog, and she really did the best job. I feel like it looks more grown up.

|| Looking Forward To: This weekend. It's a kid free weekend. Which I hate. But a co worker of mine is throwing a viewing party for the new season of Kimmie Schmidt! I'm obsessed with that show, I cannot wait for the new season. I'm glad I have friends in my life with internets and netflix that I can bum off of. I'm gonna have to get permissions to blog about this party though, because her food ideas and the whole party is just going to be too cute.

So... in a nut shell that's what's going on.
If anyone wants to fly into Atlanta to help decorate my new place, please feel free. What's going on with y'all currently? I haven't been around to actually reading other blogs yet. Baby steps.

Playing Catch Up... Currently Style

How much did y'all miss me last week? I have no excuses for my absence other than the fact that I didn't really want to publish any of the crap that's sitting in my drafts. I know my tribe understands, and I hope everyone else does too. I didn't want to go without hitting publish for a second week in a row, so what better to play catch up than with a Currently post. Plus I haven't done one in awhile.

So I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend this past weekend cause I know I did! Grab some coffee and let's play catch up.

Loving: Seeing my kids grow. I never realized fully how much I was really missing when I was working full time. Now, I can see Zander learning to comprehend math problems and learning to read. With Ainlsey I'm seeing her vocabulary grow. I'm also absolutely loving the fact that I know I'm raising sweet, caring kids that actually listen to me.

Reading: Absolutely nothing. I started reading Confessions of a Shopaholic since I never actually finished it years ago, but it's been a few days since I've picked it up. I'm trying to catch up on blog reading though

Feeling: Excited. This Sept my brother in law is getting married and we'll be there for a week. I'm more excited about next Summer though. Josh finally agreed that we need to start taking REAL family vacations. Each year he uses his vacation time for us to take a trip to Jersey to spend a week with his family. While I love seeing them, I've been begging for years to take a real family trip somewhere. Beaches, mountains, something. Just somewhere the kids have never been or seen and somewhere we can bond as a family. I took trips like this all throughout my childhood, and they are my best memories.

Watching: on T.V. most of my favorite shows are on breaks. So mostly at night Josh and I have been catching up on movies that one or both of us haven't seen. I finally saw the new TMNT movie this past weekend. LOVED IT!

Writing: I have NOT been on top of this writing business as of late. Seriously, there's a million drafts over here on blogger, but zero posts going live. Did y'all see all the emptiness from last week? Yikes.

Listening: Is anyone else obsessing over Andy Grammer's "Honey I'm Good"? I seriously made it my new ring tone for when Josh calls me. Not only is it the perfect ring tone for us, but I get to hear it at least 5 times a day!

Wanting:
to find a pool closer to our house than my mother in law's house. I love that we can go there each weekend and swim for free, but the distance is almost not even worth the gas. If I have ANY Walton County, GA residents reading my blog... please tell me where y'all swim (outside). I'm determined to teach the kids to swim and it'd be easier if I could go during the week while Josh works.
Needing: To get some kids to watch for the summer. NOT the neighbor kids that I watch every now and then. I'm talking kids to watch that will bring in some extra income. Extra income that we really need right now so we can stop playing "which bill gets juggled this month?"

Hoping: To get some much needed community service hours completed this week. We have a birthday party we'd like to attend this coming Saturday. Saturday's are normally when I get my hours in so if I can't get someone to watch the kids during the week then we'll have to miss the party. Fingers crossed someone can come through!

Avoiding: Cleaning the house. It's gotten bad over the weekend. Which is surprising because  we weren't home all weekend. Not sure how THAT happened.

Wishing: To hang out with Kristyn again soon! We had a blast at Stone Mountain a few weeks ago.

Trying: To be better with food choices. I've been really great about staying active lately, but my food choices have been less than impressive! Seriously if y'all check my fitness pal lately you would be shaking your heads in disappointment at what I've been eating. Some days I'm not even meeting my calorie intake goals... which is bad cause I know my metabolism is dropping! HELP!

Hating: Watching the neighbor kids. Officially. I know it's a horrible thing for me to say, but I just can't anymore. For several reasons. 1) neighbor has stopped paying. So right there I can't anymore. It's not worth my time. 2) his oldest is a bully and thinks he's the boss over everyone. and 3) the youngest stomped on Zander's glasses last week. I had to pile 4 kids into my tiny car to get to the eye doctor to see if they could fix them. Luckily they were able to... also learned we have a warranty on his frames if they couldn't fix them that day.

Missing: Being able to hang out with a bunch of my close friends on the weekends. Amanda, I'm looking at you! I love meeting and making new friends, but there's something about your super close friends that you've known forever that you can't replace.

Praying: I've been praying about a lot lately. Seriously though, who hasn't? Right now I am praying hard about a Church that we went to yesterday with some friends. I'm wondering if it's going to be our new family Church.

Thinking: Starting this week I'm going to spend at least an hour writing each night before bed. As a way to get my thoughts out, and maybe (hopefully) as a way to get some blog posts POSTED.

So what have y'all been up to? I'm still playing catch up with blog reading. Bear with me. Comments might come in the form of llama email spam. LOL. Happy Monday! Happy JUNE! Cannot believe this year is flying by so quickly. Let's make this a good week!

Currently, I'm in Love!

Happy Friday! I kind of feel like this week as flown by. Just me? It's still hard to believe that at this time last week I was admitting to being a newly stay at home mom. This week I've been browsing dollar stores to find fun little crafts for Ainsley and I to do at home. Since it's been awhile and I feel like I have a lot of new readers, I thought it would be a good idea to end the week with a "currently" post!

Thinking: About birthday celebrations. Zander will be 5 on the 26th. I want to do something special for his birthday since he's gotten to the age where he really is remembering everything... and talking about everything for that matter. I want him to enjoy his special day. Not just at school with cupcakes I mean.

Feeling: Cold. Georgia weather lately has been all over the place. Which is kind of the norm around here. When we go from 66 at the beginning of the week to 43 at the end of the week though... I'm cold.

Listening To: musically, I'm listening to Pitbull's newest CD (Globalization) I'm loving this entire CD (Thanks Josh for the awesome birthday present!). Mostly I'm listening to the T.V. as background noise though since that's what I'm really currently doing.
Watching: HGTV. I'm typing this up as Ainsley naps. As soon as she goes to sleep the T.V. gets switched from having Disney Jr. as background noise to Mommy shows as background noise. I don't actively watch anything until Josh gets home from work.

Reading: Divergent. I have already seen the movie (loved it). I started reading the book back in December, but I couldn't set enough time aside to get into it. Now, three days into it I'm almost done. Loving it!

Needing: To go to the store. Specifically the dollar store. I have a lot of ideas for crafts and activities to do with Ainsley during the day. We've been coloring and reading, but I know she'll  have more fun with hands on things. I need poster board!

Thankful For: Extra time with my babies! Not even trying to be cliche, y'all. I'm so thankful that I have all of this quality time, and that I've been able to really see their unique personalities!

Wishing Praying: For the courage to actually apply to go back to school. But I kind of feel like that might be a bit much to take on JUST yet. Maybe I should master being a great stay at home mom first. It's been something I've been praying on all week. No firm decisions have been made.

Loving: The fact that I'm starting to get back into the swing of things in the blogger world. I started getting my schedule back to normal. I'm able to blog and promote while Ainsley naps, and it's gotten me confident into being able to be active with sponsorships again. (Shameless plug!). I'm also loving that my tribe of bloggers has been so supportive.

Additionally, I can't end the week properly without linking up with Meagan for Blogger Love & my favorites from this week! I've really missed this linkup, and last week it gave me a great way to catch up on a lot of posts that I had missed!
All the Joys - Blogger Love
Blogger Love!

+ Kristyn / Chits & Giggles : I Can't Take a Compliment From my Husband. Raw, real, honest posts are my favorite. This was exactly that.

+ Christina / The Mediocre Housewife : Camping with Toddlers. Christina's posts are both very funny and very honest at the same time. In this her opening line is "Vacationing and small kids is the ultimate team building exercise for relationship."  If that doesn't make you want to read more, I don't know what to tell you.

+ Emily / Ember Grey : To Love Oneself. I love this idea to make time for yourself, even if you're in a serious relationship.

+ Kendra / Kenji is Here : Confetti! To go along with loving oneself, and the amazing "theme" bloggers had this week, Kendra had this little gem! A reminder to be the "ups" in someones' life because there's too many "downs". LOVE!

+ Liz / Simply Complex Mom : For Every. A sweet post about amazing moments in parenthood.

+ Paige / An Uncomplicated Life : The Nightmare that is Dating & Texting. Y'all... I didn't even know this was a thing. Paige has a great point if you're in the dating world.

What were some of y'alls favorites? Do y'all have any big plans for Valentine's Day tomorrow?

My Current Situation...

I thought it would be nice to switch things up around here and let y'all get to know me a little bit better with a "Currently" post. To give some insight to how I spend my time at home.

Currently I'm...
// Loving the fact that I'm home before 5:30 PM. At my old job I left work at 5, had to drive an hour home, and by 6 PM doing the nightly routine with the kids (and making dinner) was so stressful. I love that after work I still have time to play with the kids and still get dinner prepared without stressing about time to get the kids ready for bed!

//
Reading "Gates of Paradise" by Melissa De La Cruz. It's the final book in the Blue Bloods series. I absolutely love this series (and the writer!) Highly recommend

// Feeling really good today actually. A week ago I would've said I was anxious, stressed, and nervous about changes. Today I'm feeling really wonderful.

//
Watching Curious George. Don't judge, the kids are enjoying it. It's just background noise for me.

// Writing this post!

// Listening to the TV in the back ground and the kids playing with each other while they watch. As I type this I also hear Zander yell at me, "MOMMY! Ainsley pooped in her diaper!" Great...

// Wanting someone else to change the baby's diaper. Why does it seem like I'm the only one around when it's time for a diaper change? I also want a really big strawberry milkshake.

// Needing a new car. Well, a second car really. All we have is Josh's. It's been working carpooling to work, and I have rides to get home, but life would be so much easier with a second car in the family.

// Hoping the kids go to  bed easily tonight. Lately Ainsley enjoys her new-found freedom of the toddler bed, so bed time has been spent taking her back to bed for at least 30 minutes post tucking in.

// Avoiding folding laundry. I washed clothes on Sunday, and they've been sitting in the dryer going through the tumble daily to get wrinkles out when we need a shirt or pants.

// Trying to come up with a really good gift idea for my friend's bridal shower this weekend. Any suggestions would be helpful, because this is my first bridal shower.

// Hating the fact that Zander is so incredibly whiney lately. I know he's testing limits, but I would really love if this phase would just go away. I'm so frustrated with the whining. Especially when he does it because I tell him "no" on something.

// Missing my Grandma. A lot. I really wanted to call her when I got off of probation last week, but I know she already knew the news so that made me smile.

// Thinking that I should really start cooking dinner instead of writing this, but I'm almost done (and dinner is burgers so Josh will be on the grill anyway... the veggies are easy!)

// Considering taking two vacations next year. We usually only go on one to see Josh's family in New Jersey. Next year we'll still be going to see them, but it'll be for his younger brother's wedding. I want a real vacation.. on a beach.. or in the mountains.. something fun the kids will enjoy.
What are y'all doing "currently"? I really love reading posts like this because I'm such a creeper!
