Last Tuesday, I got the phone call from the staffing agency asking if I could make it to a job interview on Wednesday. I made a few calls about childcare, and the answer was yes! I Could absolutely get to that interview. So it was set. Wednesday 11/12 at 1:00 PM.
Wednesday rolled around and there were a lot of twitter updates about me fixing my hair. (If you're friends with me on snapchat - #SorryNotSorry for the overload of hair straightening pics) haha.
Y'all, this interview lasted over an hour!! I didn't even realize it until I got back to my car and checked my phone. (YES, the phone got left IN the car during the interview... I wasn't risking anything y'all). ---- it was a good thing too because Josh texted an ungodly amount with "how'd it go?"... and "still in there?" ugh. Husbands. ANYWAY! During the interview, the C.O.O asked when I could start if I was offered the position. Jokingly I said "heh, tomorrow". I was only halfway being serious because, yes I could start "tomorrow" but I also expected at least one other interview after this one. I was taken on a tour of the production plant and met everyone in the office. Before leaving, I was asked, "ok, so we'll see you tomorrow right?" Me: "wait, WHAT?" (Really thought they were kidding.) They were not. We talked pay, and well... #nailedit
I'm so grateful for this opportunity. I'm grateful for so many things about this job. I'm grateful to HAVE this job. I'll have to tell y'all more about the job later. For now I can say that everyone I work with and work for has a great sense of humor, and they're already treating me like one of their own. (yay). I also really love the fact that there's a super amazing kitchen / break room AND a full service deli INSIDE the building. WHAAAAT?? Also, I don't have to wear a hard hat or steel toe boots. Hello, cute office clothes! How I've missed you so very much!
Mostly I'm grateful for all of my IRL friends and my close bloggy friends. My tribe (as Anne, Meagan, and Emily calls it). I love y'all. Each and everyday y'all prayed for me, asked how I was doing, etc. The texts and phone calls made not being at work easier. It made me feel so loved and cared for. I'm so grateful for y'all. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. Y'all are just the best.
I'm grateful for this new chapter in my life, and super grateful that I'll be able to make my car payments on time still! (ha!)
What are you grateful for this week?
